Sonntagszeitung

Zu meinem Geburtstag im Februar hat mir Onlyangelika Wolle für einen KAL geschenkt. Es war wunderbare Wolle von Holst Garn in Tobacco und Caramel. Bei dem gemeinsamen Projekt handelt es sich um Sonntagszeitung, ein doppelgestrickter Schal mit Buchstaben.
Die erste Schwierigkeit bestand darin, dass ich noch nie doppelt gestrickt habe. Die ersten Versuche waren dann mit Sockenwolle, aber das war nicht das richtige Material. Mit der Holst Wolle lief das viel besser. Die Wolle war beim Stricken etwas kratzig.
Onlyangelika hat den Schal für mich gewaschen. Die Unregelmäßigkeiten, die in den ersten Reihen waren, sind alle weg und die Wolle ist sehr weich geworden.

For my birthday in February Onlyangelika gave me yarn for a KAL. It was the beautiful yarn from Holst Garn in colours Tobacco and Caramel. The KAL project was ‘Sundaypaper’ a double-knitted shawl.
The difficulty I had first was, that I never tried double-knitting before. First I made a sample with sock yarn but this is not the first choice for double-knitting. The Holst Yarn was much better. First it was a bit itchy.
Onlyangelika washed the shawl and the yarn turned out very soft and all the small irregular stitches were falling in place.
