Another 'small projects' ufo

Yesterday I had some time while my daughter was sleeping and my son was playing outside. So I pulled out the box with the small projects and found another ufo (and there are more waiting).

This time it is a poinsettia. We need them for the x-mas decoration at the quilt show. I already had the eight leaves but the eight petals were missing. The main reason was that I barely could see any marking on the fabric. I used much contrast as possible (a light blue crayon) but it was still difficult. I looked at the shape of the petals and tried it some kind of freehand motion piecing.
