Show and Tell: Paul's Rabbit

I didn't had any time to piece or quilt something. (And the nursing home anniversary will take place next weekend).
So I will show you another quilt I finished in 2003. It was the birth present for my nephew Paul who is my brother's son.
One ear is 3D and the whole rabbit is machine appliqued. It was the first time I appliqued with the machine but the quilt was washed quite often and everything is still a it's place. The instruction for this quilt was bought on a crafts fair at the booth of Jobo-Patchwork. It was also available as a kit with a selection of Westfalenstoffe, but I decided to take my own fabrics.
My brother and my SIL were quite sure that it will be a boy and so I finished the quilt with the name on it a few weeks before the date of birth.

This is so cute! My baby brother would have loved it - he had lots of Peter Rabbit things as a little one (he's just started university!). My cousins have a rabbit thing, too, so I'm always looking for rabbit ideas for baby quilts if they have kids!

Katja, I believe that this is a beautiful quilt, and your nephew will certainly have a beautiful memory of her aunt :)))

Too cute...Hey - there are ALOT of days I don't have time to quilt, but there are always things to talk about, even remincise about like quilts of the past. I really like this one. Have a great day.
