SewingRoom Sew Along: Sewing Bag/Tote/Basket

My sewing basket/tote for the SewingRoom SewAlong February is finished. It took a bit longer because I had no circle with 16’’ inch diameter available. Liz didn’t accept this excuse. When I visited her last Wednesday she made a pattern for me from scratch.

All the measurements came from the Tasket Basket pattern. At the beginning I pieced regarding the instruction. Then the instruction disappeared and I finished my way. (often not the best way).

Regarding the instruction you need piping. This was not available so I made some piping by piecing a round cord into a stripe of fabric. The other fabric is decoration fabric from Ik*ea and for the batting I used floor cloth from the discounter.

The basket is big enought to carry the complete material you need for a project.
