Am Samstag fand der Patchworkmarkt in Dillenburg statt und ich habe mit Quiltfriend Moshi den Stand der Kellerquilter betreut. Da es immer Leute anzieht, wenn man etwas macht, haben wir Schmetterlinge zum Verkauf hergestellt. Außerdem hatten wir Infomaterial und ca. 20 Quilts aus der Kellerquilteraktion im Gepäck, die alle an der Empore hingen. Immer, wenn wir erzählt haben, dass diese Quilts aus ungeliebten Resten entstanden sind, wurde mit dem Kopf geschüttelt, da die Quilts oft farblich sehr harmonisch waren.
Wir hatten viele nette Gespräche mit Quilterinnen, die schon für uns genäht haben, Quiltfriends und auch vielen Quilterinnen, für die die Kellerquilter neu waren. Viele haben versprochen beim nächsten Patchworkmarkt (01. März 2014) ihre hässlichen Entlein mitzubringen. Gegen Ende des Marktes kam noch eine Quilterin mit einem großen Karton mit Stoffen aus einer Ladenschließung.

The Patchworkmarkt in Dillenburg took place last Saturday. Quiltfriend Moshi and I were in charge of the Kellerquilter booth. Because it attracts people when you craft something we made butterflies which we sold for the petty cash. Beside this we had flyers about the Kellerquilter and approx. 20 Quilts in display. Each time we told the quilters that all of these quilts were made of disliked fabrics which were donated to us they shook their heads in disbelief because a lot of the quilts were quite harmonic.
We had many nice chats with quilters who support us, with quilters of the german Quiltfriend forum and with many quilters who never heard of the Kellerquilter before. Many promised to bring their disliked fabrics next year (1st of March 2014). At the end of the market a quilter came and brought us fabric of the shutting up of her shop.
